Books by Sonny Sonny has spent his lifetime living and learning. His experiences have forged his character and helped shape the lives of others. In his stories and poems, Sonny shares his thoughts on life, leadership, and growing up in the hills of Tennessee.

According to Sonny, "There is a consequence involved in every act or decision we make." In his book, "Lessons Learned Around The Pot-Bellied Stove", Sonny helps us look at consequences and how they may affect our choices.
Sonny grew up on a hillside farm in Appalachia. Times were hard at the end of the Depression and his beginning were humble. In February 1989, while doing short term missionary work for his church in Panama, he received word that his father had died. With a nine hour wait at Tocumen International Airport, Sonny was inspired to write a poem about his father rather than sit and grieve. From that beginning, he wrote more than 100 poems.
