Here's What Others
Hi Sonny,
I wanted to thank you again for speaking at our club and our installation
banquet. If you don't mind I would like to include a little reference for
you here:
"HI" to Sonny Sonny, YOU WORKED TO GET EVERYTHING IN PLACE WITH THE MIKES... AND IT WENT
VERY WELL! You were a wonderful speaker - and it was great to see everyone so
happy and SMILING!!!! I don't always see ladies THAT HAPPY after a speaker and
a huge dinner. I GIVE YOU TWO A COUPLE OF GOLD STARS FOR THIS EVENT! Here is one I received after speaking to the Texas. Farm Bureau Leadership Conference: To: Dr. Sonny Reynolds, This is an Email I received from a Mr. Fergus after speaking to his organization in Maryland: Just a quick note to you - The comments on our conference evaluation forms were beyond belief. You really wowed the entire crowd. I am in the process of extracting comments and will send you quotes for your use. I was given quite a few verbal comments, like, why did you have those boring speakers Thursday morning when we could have listened to Dr. Sonny for hours on end! You got them from the beginning and didn't let go. Again, it was my esteemed honor to have met you. Very infrequently do I get to meet a gentleman of your caliber and insight. I missed a portion of our dinner dance Thursday night because of your book of poetry. I was absolutely mesmerized. I would like to apologize for the transportation shortcoming, I'm sure that a police cruiser would have been more comfortable than a pick-up truck. Again, my most sincere thanks for your presentation. Here is what he sent to the Bureau through which he hired me. Hi Sonny, Again I am in your debt, not the price of the speaker and expenses, but morally. This man was absolutely fantastic. We had a break down, literally, of the vehicle that was to transport Sonny to the hotel, so I responded in my pickup truck (how luxurious). Not only did he not say anything about it, just that he went to Nashville in a similar vehicle. As for the presentation, responses were along the line of that instead of the boring presentations on Thursday morning, we should of just had "Dr. Sonny" talk as long as he wanted to. I was forced to leave the room at the beginning of his presentation but within 1 minute the room had erupted in loud guffawing laughter. I believe that I missed the best part. The part of the presentation that I was fortunate enough to hear was absolutely fantastic. He had the State Director of Child Support in tears from laughing so hard. It was exactly what I wanted, forget the meat and potatoes, he gave what worked, humor and lots of it. I will be sending you as well as Dr. Reynolds, a letter of thanks and will include many of the comments made by the attendees. We had over 374 registered attendees and another 15 or 20 from another state office, all were in agreement (something that doesn't happen at all) Dr. Reynolds was the best speaker that we have had for many years. Elections this year resulted in an entirely new board of officers, but I will be sure that the agenda committee has your e-mail address and will be quite adamant about the professionalism and reliability of your group. Again my most profound thanks to you and Dr. Reynolds. Sonny--- Want to again thank you for your part in our annual meeting. Your talk as an after-dinner speaker was the highlight of the meeting for me. You have a gift and I hope you have many more oportunities to share that gift with others. Well I just got BEEEEEEPED to go in to see an emergency so better sign off for now---- Was good to get reacquainted after 31 years!!
